Todd Cranmore, BCO BADO – Licensed Ocularist

Todd Cranmore is a Licensed Ocularist in Washington State, a Board Certified Ocularist (BCO) and a Board Approved Diplomate Ocularist (BADO). Combining medicine, artistry and engineering, Todd creates an amazing replica of the natural eye. Along with his education in ocular prosthetics, he has earned a degree in biochemistry from the University of Washington. Todd loves hanging out with his family, prefers to be out on the water boating and especially loves wake surfing.

“Our patients continually challenge us to be the best at what we do. The face is such a huge focal point in our society, we go to great efforts to match the color and symmetry of the natural eye.”

Tawnya Cranmore – Apprentice Ocularist

She values the opportunity to partner with her husband Todd and the whole team through the rewarding work at Northwest Eye Design. She enjoys being with friends & family, game nights, volunteering, walks and hikes.

“I am amazed every time I see a completed eye and love the privilege of walking through the process with each patient.”

Emily Spiker – Administrative Coordinator

Emily is an Administrative Coordinator for Northwest Eye Design. She was born and raised on the east coast and moved to Washington several years ago with her husband, Eric, and two daughters, Molly and Abi. Some of Emily’s favorite things to do are watching soccer, enjoying musical theater, and snuggling with her dog Peaches.

“I love the atmosphere, it really is a family here! Everyone is a part of the Northwest Eye Design family and you can sense that the moment you come into the office.”

Tania Andersen – Patient Care Coordinator

Tania is a Patient Care Coordinator at Northwest Eye Design. After attending the University of Washington, she went to Cosmetology School and was a hairstylist in Redmond. This is where she found her passion for serving others, and now enjoys helping our patients walk through the process of getting a new prosthesis. You will likely hear her bragging about her “perfect” dog Dooger, and find her hanging with friends and family.

“I walk into work with a smile and leave work with a smile all due to the incredible patients I am getting to know and the amazing staff I get to work with. I feel very lucky to be a part of the journey and the team.”

Karin Rowles – Patient Care Coordinator

Karin is a Patient Care Coordinator for Northwest Eye Design. She grew up in Yakima, but has lived in Western Washington for over 20 years. Karin graduated from Western Washington University in Bellingham with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and has always enjoyed jobs that allow her to support others. She has lived in Bothell for the last 18 years with her husband, Shawn and is the proud mom of 2 young adults. Karin loves to cook, bake, read and spend time with her family.

“It’s clear that the patient’s well-being and comfort is the number one focus of all the staff and being able to be part of such an important process is a joy!”

Christie Erickson – Retired Ocularist

Christie Erickson has been practicing as an ocularist since 1981. She greatly enjoyed her craft and loved making patients smile, laugh, cry — all at the same time. Christie has been enjoying retirement since the end of 2018. She greatly misses her patients and colleagues, but rather enjoys her new short commute to her backyard deck. Christie continues to enjoy gardening, watching hummingbirds on her deck, hiking and spending time with her 5 grandchildren.

“One of the greatest compliments we receive is when others (including medical professionals) do not recognize that a patient has a prosthetic eye. What a boost this is for a patient’s self-esteem!”
